The states with the highest percentage of persons born in state of current residence

  1. Louisiana at 77.6%, meaning 22.4% were born in another state or country
  2. Michigan is second at 76.2%
  3. Ohio at 74.7%
  4. Mississippi at71.5%
  5. Pennsylvania at 71.4%

The states with the lowest percentage of persons born in state of current residence

  1. Nevada is lowest at 27.2%
  2. Florida at 35.8%
  3. Arizona at 39.9%
  4. New Hamshire at 40.6%
  5. Colorado at 42.2%
  6. Alaska at 42.9%
